The title "afternoons and coffee spoons" comes from a song by The Crash Test Dummies with lyrics that read:

When I don't want to over-think, over-write or over-analyze, I come to this space for awhile - in my pajamas, sipping a cup of coffee and maybe reading a bit of Eliot.
